The grass on the roof enticed me to explore this abandoned house. The light coming through the roof made a surrealistic image. The surprise was finding a mummified cat in the kitchen sink, maybe a future painting.

This work is based on a image I saw while driving in the country. A boat, no trailer, hundreds of miles from water, adrift in a sea of grass. Oddly, there was not a "for sale" sign. I added the life preserver to give the title a double meaning.
